Recommendation:
It is recommended that the Town Council adopt the attached Resolution No. 2155.11 as presented.
Background:
In 2009, the Town of Golden Beach entered into a mutual aid agreement, which provides for the Police Department to request assistance from and to assist the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s Child Abduction Response Team (CART), which serves Miami-Dade, Broward, Monroe, and Palm Beach Counties. This agreement simply continues that agreement for another two years, until December 31, 2012.
The Town Manager, in consultation with the Mayor, recommends the Town Council approve the new agreement.
Fiscal Impact:
There is no cost to the Town to participate.
