SPECIAL TOWN COUNCIL MEETING
7:00 P.M.
Mayor Glenn Singer called the Special Meeting of the Town Council to order at 7:05 p.m.
Council in attendance: Mayor Glenn Singer, Vice Mayor Judy Lusskin, Councilman Ben Einstein, Councilman Joe Iglesias, Councilman Al Paruas
Staff in attendance: Town Manager Bonilyn Wilbanks-Free, Town Attorney Paul Eichner and Town Clerk Cathy Szabo
The purpose of this meeting is to consider the pending litigation styled:
Town of Golden Beach v. RLI Insurance Company and Williams, Hatfield & Stoner, Inc., in the Circuit Court of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit in and for Miami-Dade County, Case No.: 04-02471 CA 10
Town Attorney Paul Eichner read the following into the record:
Pursuant to Florida Statutes 286.011(8), there will be an Attorney-Client Session beginning at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as can be heard, on March 15, 2005 attended by Mayor Glenn Singer, Vice-Mayor Judy Lusskin, Councilman Ben Einstein, Esq., Councilman Joe Iglesias, M.D., Councilman Al Paruas, CPE, Bonnie Wilbanks-Free, Town Manager; Paul Eichner, Town Attorney from the firm of Bakalar & Eichner, P.A.; Adam C. Linkhorst, Esq. and John A. Hockin, Esq. from the Firm of Leiby Stearns, Linkhorst and Roberts, P.A.
The Special Meeting of the Town Council will be recessed for this session. A court reporter will be present. These officials shall meet in private for approximately thirty (30) minutes. This is a closed-door meeting called pursuant to Florida Statutes, 286.011 (8). At the conclusion of the Attorney-Client session, the Special Town Council Meeting will be reconvened.
At this time Town Clerk Cathy Szabo turned off the recorder and closed the doors to the council chambers for the Attorney-Client Session.
The meeting reconvened and was opened to the public at 7:35 p.m.
