In order to improve plan review and permit issuance, the Building Department has initiated a new building plan login procedure. We request that the contractor obtain the folio number of the project from the Dade County Property Appraiser in advance of applying for a permit. The login procedures are as follows:

1. The contractor brings in the plan(s) and registers with the clerk, and pays all upfront fees
2. Once the plan review is complete, a representative of the Building Department will call the contractor regarding the approval or denial of the permit
3. If the plans are approved, the contractor pays the balance of the fees and the permit is issued
4. If plans are denied the contractor will pick up plans and have the necessary corrections made and re-submit
