The Town of Golden Beach Building Department requires a number of various inspections depending on the size of the project, and based on required inspection schedules of the Florida Building Code.

Scheduling
Only the permit holder can schedule an inspection. No inspections can be scheduled unless and until a copy of the recorded Notice of Commencement, if required, has been delivered to the Building Department and is posted on the job site.

Inspections are scheduled daily (Monday through Friday) from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. A minimum of 24 hours advance notice is required. If you have to cancel an inspection, please contact the Building Department to avoid re-inspection fees.

Inspectors
Structural inspections are conducted Monday-Thursday. Electrical and Plumbing inspections are performed on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Mechincal Inspections are performed on Tuesday and Thursday. Inspectors are available for questions on an appointment basis only.

The Building Department is open to the public from 8:30 AM to 12:00PM and 1:30 PM to 3:30PM, weekdays, except holidays.
