A Message from the Town Manager
The Town of Golden Beach is renowned for its exclusive and beautiful 1.8-mile stretch of private beach with a historic beach pavilion and an intimate sense of community. It offers a myriad of exquisite water views, encompassing beachfront, Intracoastal, canal, and dry lot homes. These attributes have attracted many talented, affluent, and accomplished individuals from all over the world to our idyllic town.
I have been serving as the Town Manager of Golden Beach since 2007, and I am beyond proud and grateful of all the accomplishments that I, along with our Town Council, Town Staff, and dedicated residents, have been able to bring to fruition during my tenure. Day in and day out my staff and I are working tirelessly to make sure that we are always evolving and advancing in new and exciting ways to ensure that we remain as one of the most prominent places to live and raise a family in South Florida. While many things have been accomplished in these past years together, I recognize that there will always be more work that needs to be done, and that we can never get complacent. As we plan and build for the future of our Town, I want to reaffirm my unwavering dedication and commitment to the betterment and advancement of this beautiful, rare enclave that so few are lucky enough to call home.
As we look to the future, we are mindful that the demographics of our Town have been changing in recent years. With more younger families moving in and the older generation moving out, we have new sets of standards that need to be met to maintain modernity; making it imperative for us to modify how we deliver services and day-to-day operations to our residents.
Forward Thinking:
In May of 2024, coinciding with the 95th Anniversary of the Town, we delivered our highly anticipated state-of-the-art Civic Center Complex and Landfall Team Bunker. This is the first building in the country that will house a Landfall Team (police and fire personnel) in a bunker. This Bunker, featured in Trend Magazine, was built to withstand the strongest of storms including a Category 5 hurricane. It provides shelter to keep first responders safe as they ride out the storm; and prevents them from having to evacuate so that they are able and ready to render immediate aid in the event of a hurricane or emergency.
From day one safety has always been at the forefront of my priorities as your manager, and we as a Town are always looking for ways to enhance our security measures to ensure you and your family’s safety. In recent years, we have installed 11 emergency call boxes and have increased the number of cameras throughout the Town, bringing our total to over 285 lenses. The Town also purchased a drone to help aid in patrols from the sky which allows us more visibility for harder to see areas that potential suspects could be hiding in. In the near future, we will be completing the final phase of our CCTV Expansion Project by adding the remaining cameras along Ocean Boulevard.
Future Focused:
The Town continues to progress with its new Reimagined Tweddle Park Project. Our tennis and pickleball courts are now open and available for our residents to utilize; and we are actively in the construction phase of our dog park, tot lot, basketball court, padel court, and playground areas.
We are beyond excited about our monumental Wellness Center Project that is taking shape at the South end of Town. This will be another state-of-the-art facility providing world-class amenities and will catapult the Town even further into opulence. A Groundbreaking Ceremony was held in May of 2025 commencing the start of construction on the building which has an anticipated completion date at the end of 2026.
In closing, I am forever grateful for the ongoing trust and patience that our residents and Town Council continue to instill in me as I persistently strive to make the Town of Golden Beach into the best version of itself.
Your Manager,
Alexander Diaz
