A Certificate of Occupancy (CO) is required for all new buildings and additions constructed in the Town of Golden Beach prior to being occupied. Prior to a Certificate of Occupancy being issued, all final inspections must be requested, performed and approved. When a certificate of occupancy is applied for, several prerequisites must be met:
- All inspection has passed, including landscaping, and irrigation
 - The permit holder must ensure that all subcontractors have obtained and paid for the required permits
 - Submit a completed FEMA flood elevation certificate
 - Submit as built sealed plans and survey
